Charles (Chuck) Alfred Edwardson is the owner/operator of Alfred's Superior Tree Service in Wichita, Kansas.
Chuck has had a long history and passion in the tree business. As a boy, he worked in tree care with his father in Whitting, Kansas. In 1977 he moved to Wichita and in 1979 started his own tree care company.
Chuck strives to do things bigger and better. He continually increases his knowledge in tree care and maintenance. He is a Certified Arborist through Kansas Arborist's Association (KAA) and the International Society of Arboricultural (ISA). He is also a member in good standing with the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA).
Alfred's Superior Tree Service provides professional tree care services and maintenance for trees and shrubs for residential, commercial contractors, city and county municipalities.

What is a Certified Arborist?
Arborists are individuals who are trained in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining individual trees. A "Certified Arborist" is an individual, with at least three years of experience, who has passed a comprehensive certification exam. Certified Arborists are required to continue their professional development and continuing education on tree care.
When is a good time to prune a tree?
Fall and winter are the most opportune times to prune. However, pruning can be done year round if done properly. Most routine pruning will remove weak, diseased, or dead limbs. This allows growth to be maximized and wound closure is fastest if pruning takes place before the spring growth is flush.
How much does tree care cost?
Prices vary according to the job. Price breaks are offered if more than one tree needs care. Access will affect price as we need to be able to get heavy equipment to your trees.
Do you give free onsite estimates?
In most cases we offer free estimates. If you want a comprehensive consultation, there can be a nominal fee. Please call us and we will let you know what we can do for you. We'll have one of our tree care specialists visit your residence or commercial property and address your needs!
Do you plant trees?
No we do not plant trees, but we'll help you take care of them once they are planted including maintenance, pruning and other healthcare needs.
